Yes, Bahco.

Very decent stuff.

I know Bahco is related to Snap On, but comon. How could they say Snap On in the title. A little deceiving. Handle on the ratchet looks like Snap On's adjustable soft grip wrench handle though...interesting....

Kind of like those pricks on E-Bay putting Proto in the title just so you can click on it and see some Wal-Mart Stanley tools.

Looks like Snap-on is looking to take in a bigger share of the consumer/DIY market.

At least it's [said to be] made in the USA.

C'mon guys, was this really that unexpected? First there were the flashlights, then the nail guns, knife sets, stools, and "cordless" work lights.... of their recent deceptive business practices, this one may actually be less morally reprehensible.

They are.

I'm guessing the misrepresentation in this case is Northern Tool's...

I think these are New-Old-Stock from around 2003. They have been floating around on the internet for a long time.

I said what the hell. I bought a set if they are not snap-on a call to the credit card company is in order. That's false advertising if anything else comes in but snap-on.

You may as well get started early then, because they're shown to be labeled Bahco. For future reference, Snap On doesn't sell through other retailers, except for their "branded" accessories at Costco and the like.

You are so true. I bet there Bahco too but I have looked everywhere in that page and no mention of Bahco is listed.

why did you order them?

I am assuming you followed the link from this thread, where it has been mentioned in almost every post that these are Bahco.

I don't agree with Northern Tool putting it in the title because I think they're intentionally being deceitful... but it does say Snap On, not Snap-On..

They don't list a brand in the title or description, which makes you assume that the Snap On in the title is referring to the brand Snap-On..

Welcome to the internet! If it seems too good to be true, it usually is!

Are you serious? Sounds like you're just being a bit of a d-bag.

Remind me not to do any business with you in the future.

that line is pretty blurry. i have seen bahco stuff with snap-on on the label. i have also seen that same set thrown loose in a cardboard box. with a label glued to the outside. seems like good quality. it is the same stuff that sold at sears years ago labeled harley -davidson. i honestly believe snap-on openly claimed they made that stuff years ago and have now denied that they made it. remove the packaging that says snap-on and you only have bahco. hence the cardboard box. does anyone really think omaha distributing actually made it? a little dicey for northern to advetise that way, but why would you order something that you did not beleive was real and then expect to get it free. send it back for a refund yes, but free. nice try.

If they want me to send it back I will no problem. But as a seller I do not sell stuff saying one thing and it really something completly different. That just bad business when I sell stuff I am completly up front on what I am selling. If I say I am selling a snap on set of tools then what the buyer should get not something else.

OK, I would agree with you- BUT, you knew from looking at this thread that it was Bahco and NOT Snap On.

Besides the fact that new Snap On tools are not legitimately sold anywhere else than off the SO truck or from SO directly.

Maybe I'm interpreting your posts the wrong way, but they came off as kind of douchey IMHO. It's like you were purposely trying to get something for nothing because of an awkwardly or incorrectly worded description.

actions like this help drive the costs of items up for others.
If you know that they made a mistake do not punish them for it.
If you messed up a car are you going to pay for the mishap? No your company will ( unless if you own it ) .
lets see if they will change their title before you jump all over them for false advertising.

bahco is snap on, it is thier sister company in sweden.

i have snap on adjustable wrenches, i looked them up and the bahco came up to...same exact tool.

snap on sells there stuff under the bahco name outside of the us.

so a lot of their tools will look the same, my adjustables say that they are made in sweden, but have the snap on name on them.

so, reguardless, it is quality stuff.

the snap on wrenches are FADH10A and FADH8A

look them up on snap ons website, then look at bahcos adjustables.

good stuff either way

chavy tahoe is gmc yukon. But when someone labels an item by the wrong name it is fraudulent. Even if their intentions are not bad, but by someone trying to take advantage of them for their error is not a nice thing to do. They simply put what Omaha told them the product was. Omaha doesnt care as long as someone buys it from them. Most places put Bahco by snap on.... not Just snap on. the tools will not say "snap on" on them anywhere. It would be like calling a matco box a danaher box. Might make a few people upset.

No. While it is true that Snap-on has owned Bahco since 1999, that does not mean Bahco is Snap-on. (There are about a thousand threads on this topic on this forum...) Snap-on did not manufacture the sets in question.

Snap-on does not re-brand as Bahco outside of the USA.

Many of the Snap-on adjustables are indeed simply re-branded Bahcos with inflated price tags. Much of Snap-on's line is re-branded from other manufacturers. Again, though, this does not mean Snap-on is Bahco.

This is true; Bahco is good stuff.

Apparently, they bought these from Omaha, who deals in tool closeouts, but they are Bahco tools, which is owned by JH Williams, just like Snap-On. It is deceiving, but so are all the Ebay sellers who sell the Bahco-made Harley Davidson tools as Snap-On.

Am I the only one who thinks that $70 is kind of steep for a set of sockets? I guess I spend too much time at Sears and not enough in the Snap-On truck, where the prices are pure fantasy.

Just so you know there is no warranty for these Bahco USA tools. I e-mailed them about 6 months ago for a broken socket and they said they are not lifetime warranty.

It seems fraudulent to me to sell them as snappy when they are Bahco.
I would think snappy would have a problem with that.

Out of my mind... Be back soon!
I do have one tool (re-imported?) that I'd bought from Harry Epstein with both the Snap-on and Bahco logos appearing on its package. Bit mystified about why they'd use both of them, unless this was for the European market and Bahco was better known somewhere than Snap-on (Sweden?) ... but both logos were there.

Hate to burst your bubble - but the credit card company isn't going to eat the charge because you received a product in exchange for payment. Thus, unless you are willing to return them for a refund... you are the one left holding the bag.

Northern Tool might do the right thing here, but I'd bet it would come in the form of a partial refund. Frankly I woudln't even expect that much... I'd say you just bought yourself a set of Bahco sockets.
