Snap on soft grip new design?

I am about to order a large selection of 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2” soft grips from Snap On online store to replace worn ones on my Snap On ratchets. Browsing eBay, there seems to be a new design soft grip on some ratchets, where the colourway is reversed, ie on the green handle the handle is predominantly green with black Snap on writing, whereas the handle is usually black with green writing.

Does anyone know if these new style grips are being supplied as replacements? I‘d rather have the older style in black as will not show the oil and dirt. I have no local dealer so will have to be ordered online so no way of checking prior to purchase

Thanks.

They did that reverse colors years ago for a bit, when they brought it back this year it was on 1/4 ratchets with 3/8 drive only for a bit

Interesting- I don't think I've ever seen an all green, red.... Snap On grip. I only have two Snap On comfort grip ratchets, but I've purchased them new in the last year and they both have the black grip with red font. I did see in one of the SO 100 tooth ratchet threads that SO has changed the shape of the grip. Not sure if this is for all the ratchets, or just the new ones, but they were majority black in color, even with the new shape- which was a minor revision.

The Cynergy ratchets with the soft grip it's actually shaped like a round soft grip but it is a harder plastic not like a foam, but not the old style hard grip plastic either. I'm supposed to be getting a new one tomorrow I'll post some pictures.

Finally got my new soft grip Flex head Cynergy ratchet today. Can't really call it a soft grip as it's not foam, it's a hard plastic but it has a little bit of give to it, a bit more than the hard grip plastic ratchets. While it looks like it has a rubber overmold it doesn't. I'm not a fan of ratchets that don't have a metal grip, but this one is changing my opinion of that. Not slippery, fits in the hand very well, not cold, and I believe it will not get soiled easily and when it does it will clean up well. I'm very impressed with it. Also this Cynergy ratchet is much improved over the earlier ones I have. Back drag is very close to the dual 80 and I believe will get better with some use. If you push firmly and just right on the direction lever it still free wheels but it has to be a very intentional effort, in regular use I don't see it being a problem. All in all I am very happy with it also I've only used it for one day.20250120_111045.jpg20250120_111104.jpg

Are sure you bought a soft grip, because they make a hard and soft grip Cynergy ratchet handles that look the same.

Do these newer handles from the Cynergy series fit as replacements on Dual 80 soft grip ratchets?
