Hello,

I recently spotted an "SS" badged Snap-On toolbox. I was wondering if anyone had more information about the unit and the model number. I'm quite interested in purchasing one for myself.

The new "ss" box your referring to is the new classic 78 with 2 full length drawers part no. kra2422. I have the 2422 and its plenty of box for me to grow into and payments are fairly cheap. I wasnt a fan of the lock n roll drawers at first but if your not moving the box around you can take the out. Give it about a day or two and you wont even notice them. If you have the cash Id definitely do the hf box and spend the rest on tools. But if your situation requires financing then definitely get the SO box they hold their value. I talked to my dealer the other day about mine and he said if i wanted to step up he would give me what i paid for mine.

I can't have a matt black box with an SS on it a little too close to an older military branch I'm afraid

Oi vey.

I assume any of the Chevy products such as the Camaro SS, Impala SS and Chevy cars "ad nauseum" are just as offensive.

Sorry to see ur skin is so thin in 2012.

Heres mine in extreme green. Its super nice having a second full length drawer. I keep pliers/prybars and vise grips in it. Only downside to the box is its short. Thats why mine is on blocks And its filling up fast. Hopefully by the end of summer Ill step up to an epiq

This a new White box. It was just purchased by one of my guys. I have a White 90th Aniversery tool cart ( see avatar ) and love the color. It's actually easier to keep clean than my Candy Apple Red tool cab

I really wish the white carts and boxes were more readily available than just in their Epiq line. Your cart looks really sharp!

My Snap-on guy has one of those on the truck. Told me retail was $1,895 and would let it go for $1,695. Granted the KRSC46's on the Snap-on site aren't offered in white nor do they have that 90th aniverssary sticker on them, but retail on all KRSC46's on the Snap-on site is $1,590. I knew this and kinda pissed me off. Maybe that one did sell for that much, but felt like he was trying to lie to me and make me feel like I was getting offered a deal. Stuff like that doesn't sit well with me.

Wood blocks under a box... That's a first for me.

So, how much would the cost of one with an SS on it be vs. one without?

Dont know as the 2422 isn´t listed on the Snap-on site yet, but here in Sweden the 2422 is only a little more expensive than the 2411. But as stated they´re different in the drawer layout anyway. IMO the 2422 has a far better layout and makes a good alternative to the KRL722 for the money.

$400 difference and i think the drawer layout does affect the price on this one. now if we can get a 2418 classic 96 with the two full length drawers then things will be good
