snap on stainless tops

I bought a stainless snap on top for my krl1022 and it has four 1/4" holes drilled all the way through the stainless top. They are towards the back. The guy I bought it from told me that's how they come from snap on with the holes through the top to mount a hutch to it. Is this true ? I would think that they come without any holes drilled through the top

I have two krl1022 with stainless tops, neither one have holes drilled all the way through.

They come with no holes. Dealers have to drill holes to mount the hutch.

Same here. Bought a stainless top for mine. No holes.

My stainless top for the KRL1023 does not have holes drilled through it. It is secured from the bottom side.
