Anyone have any info on a set of crimper/strippers from snap on im not sure of the the exact product # I think it is pwcs7. Like I said not sure of the # but I know it had a 7 at the end. I saw a pair on the truck a while ago and didn't pick them up now that I want them though I can't find them on the website. Any help as far as if they are still available or if they are a nice set of crimper/strippers would be appreciated thanks.

The Snap-On website is having problems again (what else is new) but the PWCS7 is the more recent release and is a compact version of the PWCS9. The 7 was at least temporarily discontinued on the site for some reason, i think its in a promo pack this month. The 9 should still be available. They usually pop up on ebay every so often as well.

Re: Snap on stripper/cutter/crimper???

I shouldn't mention this (because I have been thinking about ordering the PWCS7) but the PWCS7 is available in green (PWCS7G) on the Snap-on web site. They also have orange (PWCS7O) but are currently out of stock. In addition, there is an intro 3-pack available (PWCS7PK) which appears to be red.

ok I have had these for quite some time and they are nice IMO. I am an auto tech not an electrician but have served very well. I would buy another pair if I lost mine today

Exchanged some E-mail with Snap-on Order Entry today. They claim that the PWCS7 (red handles) is being discontinued and will be replaced by PWCS7CF. Of course PWCS7CF isn't available on the web site either. Sure would be nice if they would provide cross references from old P/N's to new P/N's.

they changed a lot of part numbers to the cf in the last few years.
red is out of stock and orange has a couple left and green is out as well.
red 3 pack however is in stock, but most customers do not buy 3 at once.

So how do I order one red-handled PWCS7? I only want one with red handles, not a 3-pack, not green or orange. PWCS7, PWCS7O, PWCS7G, PWCS7PK and PWCS7CF don't work. Why does it have to be so difficult to order stuff from Snap-on?

About a month ago as I walked on the truck the snap on guy handed me a set of those pliers I ended up not taking them. Now that I want a set he can't get them im waiting on payday to order them off snap ons website but now only green js available (which is good wanted green) and it seems to change by the hour ... talk about stressful :lol_hitti

Thanks for reminding me about these! I had tried to get them on the truck, on the site, I even called to no avail. "Out of stock and looks to be discontinued."

Just successfully ordered a green handled pair. Yay! :D

Hopefully they actually ship...

Sorry to bring the old thread back, so what exactly the difference between PWCS7CF and PWCS7? I don't really care about the colors.
