I have a "like new" FK80, 3/8" dr. stubby FIXED head ratchet. Newest design 80 tooth, sealed. Don't like the feel of it in my hand. Looking to trade toward next earlier design with smaller head. Would also consider cash purchase of earlier design, if you have one in comparable condition. Will also sell this FK80 outright, less than your friendly SO dealer. Also have two SO box drawers to trade toward earlier design stubby ratchet, see earlier post "SNAP ON Box Drawers".

Sorry wrenchr, no offense meant...just an oversight.

Has anyone actually completed a trade/purchase of this yet?

So sorry, guys. We got real busy at work last week and I was "out of pocket" all yesterday. I still have the FK80 and have narrowed the search down to the FK936 or FK830. I have fat hands and like the feel of the FK830, but realize finding one in very good condition will be tough. NO engraving on my ratchet, very fine scratches are from wiping off and being pushed around on workbench. What looks like discoloration in one photo is actually glare from the flashlight used to get a more detailed pic. Sorry, these pics are as good as it gets with the camera I had. WrenchR, got any pics of your FK936? I paid $69.50 +tax, six months ago. SO dealer said it was worth only $45 to him. I"ve got a couple calls in to local dealers to find FK936 or FK830 NOS.I need to do something this week, though!

Anybody out there able to verify this: the last two digits of the ratchet # are actually the # of teeth in gear head, ie...FK830=30 tooth, FK936=36 tooth, FK80+80 tooth? It appears that an FK936 is the most recent that I have found, until the FK80. Was there nothing between 36 tooth and 80 tooth?

OBTW, I think I would like an FK830 as it has an even smaller (barely) and would match my F830 standard length ratchet. Yeah, yeah I know, "beggars can't be choosers", as I'm sure a "like new" FK830 would be harder to find than frog hair! But if I ndon't put it out there.........?

My f710bk is 20 tooth, At least that is how many clicks it takes to make a revolution. Is that something snap on changed on the newer ratchets models etc?

motosman -- what is the status? I do not want to send you a cash offer b/c I do not want it to appear that I'm trying to cut the line. Are you working out a trade with wrenchr? Have you been in discussions with walrus and DaMaN about a cash offer?

I'm no longer interested but you do know that the 830 is thicker that the 80 and 936 right? I'll post a pic.
