WOW 9 PMs asking me to buy GJ members tools. I am sorry, as I said I have never abused the system. Mainly because its not fair and I don't wish to lose it.

I'll take the overflow, not like I'll use my Matco or Mac discount anyways :lol_hitti

I bought all my stuff when I was in school at the student prices. It helped out a TON. Now I have a big box filled with only snap-on tools, and no monthly payment! :)

That's what I've been aiming for. May owe a fortune in student loans at the end of it all, but I would anyways; and without all the quality tools if I didn't take advantage of it:thumbup:.

Apple were famous for this in the 80's

The theory being, give the schools a break (or take a loss leader) and have the students use their product in school and give the students a big discount to buy.

When they are in the work force making purchase decisions, they would buy what they are familiar with.

it's just good business

Apple student software in 2000 was about 1/4 of full price, the BIG problem was you couldn't upgrade it as the new improved versions of the software came out and trust me, you need to do those upgrades. I'm not sure how Adobe's or other companies student software works.

Snap-on tools on the other hand are good for life.

Thank you very much, For 8 dollars more than Gearwrench I can have snap on, now just to have dad call our dealer.

I am a student in autobody, my dad is the teacher, I have yet to take advantage of SEP.

E30: Would you mind looking up a few other part numbers for me?

sure. Send me a PM. You have to be in a school though, not an apprentice at a shop.

purplezr2, is this flyer online?

I don't think they've ever posted them online, at least not publicly accessible. Even than they don't always list prices, as the discounts vary between industrial accounts.
