I need a new torque wrench, but I'm about to service both of my diffs and will also need a dial type with memory needle for pinion torquing.

My question is, with the techangle wrench measure torque while spinning a pinion gear to get the resistance torque?

The Techangle does display currently applied torque as you're using it. But it's really not the right tool for this job. The torque for pinion resistance is generally in the low 10s inch pounds in a passenger vehicle, and that's at the very bottom of the scale for even the 1/4" techangle. IMO, a dial type torque wrench is the best tool for this job.

225 you can use a beam type torque wrench instead of the dial, just read as you apply pressure (torque) to the pinion.
