I really need a place under cover for the lift and cars to get all the rest back in order..

It definitely helps to get the big pieces out of the way, even if it means temporarily renting a place. However, you/we didn't get into this mess by being organized or self-disciplined. Here's the first four of the junkman twelve step program:
1. Admit publically, "I've got a problem and I can't continue to live in a trash heap."
2. Write a timeline/spread sheet of what needs to be done to get organized. Give it to someone merciless, such as wife, older brother, best friend. Have him/her call a meeting and grade your progress once a month.
3. Set yourself a time limit to be out of the rental situation and again, have someone else drive the progress.
4. Everything (all that crapola in those cardboard boxes) which does not have a home in a drawer or on a shelf has to go - no exceptions.
5. No more craigslist, eBay, garage sales until it's done and your sponsor has signed off on the project.

thnx, jack vines

Tough love, but every junkman knows he's helpless without intervention
