By the way, this is the original paint color.
When I got this box, it had been repainted dark grey, then repainted flat black. If it weren't already repainted I would have left it alone. The inside of the box, has never been touched, and is still OD green. When I was taking the paint off, there were remnants of a snap-on decal over the top of green paint. I matched the paint exactly when I restored it back to this green color. It is a bit greener in the photos than in person. The dates you mention are not far from what I first said. I said 1923-1938 and you said 1929 to late thirties. No, its not. The original color is a grey color with a very slight hint of green. This one has way too much green in it. Also the original paint was almost full gloss, this one is fairly flat. This one pictured is being sold as repainted with the original color I think. Its more like the closest match they could easily find.
This one from my collection is 100% original paint, you can see what the real color was:

As for age, its from the mid-late 30's. You really cannot judge dates by the stamped logo, as this stamp shows up on boxes from about 1929 well into the late 30's.
I don't see any date marks.Check the back for an imprint of model/year?

It looks like the K23, but the size is much different. The dimensions of my box does not match any on that link. Thanks
That definitely looks like my box. (except the color) There wasn't much left of my decal but that's exactly where it was. Dimensions 201/2 in wide x 11 in high x 8.5 in deep. Does that match your dimensions? Thanks so much for the info. I'm not a Snap-On collector, I collect Estwing - that's my area of expertise. Its definitely not any earlier than say 1933. They did use the stamping in the same logo starting around 1929, but this box didnt exist that early. Ill have to go through my catalogs, but the box is from the mid to late 30's era.
This is what your original decal would have looked like. You can see the greenish tin to the grey in this shot. The color was more they than green, and the catalogs listed it as this box being painted grey:

Here is a pic that more accurately shows what the color actually is.
