I'm looking at a KRA4008 online. I can't find what the drawer height is for the top and shallow drawers? Are they 4inch for the top and 2 inch exact for the 4 shallow drawers? (my current Craftsman box has 2 1/2 inch drawers which is just tall enough for my sockets, 2 inches even will be too short....)

Also looking on Snap on's website the Blue Point boxes show they are Made in USA? I thought I read somewhere that they were made in Canada....

I have a KRA4107, so I think drawer heights are the same. What fits in a 2" drawer in a Craftsman box does not fit in a 2" drawer in my Snap-on box.

Max height on a 2" drawer is only 1 3/4", 4" drawer is 3 13/16". The front lip of the drawer above hangs down almost 1/4", presumably to add strength.

Thanks,

It should still be ok with my current layout, just couldn't tell what size they were online.

I"m debating on 3 boxes... the Masterforce 56inch. (Made in China I believe)

Snap on KRA4008 and KRA4014 Combo (Made in USA)

Craftsman 54 inch Premium (Which they tell me is Made in USA)

Top choice is the Snap on even though it's smaller (will work for me) But at $2,800 for both pieces, not sure if I can swing it...

If I get one of the 54 length boxes, I was going to mount that below the work bench like I've seen here on the forum. I like the fact that the Craftsman is Made in USA, but I don't like the color, prefer red. The Masterforce comes in red, but Made in China . I'm not sure if I want the very large top drawer for my sockets, ratchets and torque wrenches. I've always had a single bay box, so not sure if I'll like that or not. I generally only use 3/8 or 1/4 and both will fit in a standard 23 inch drawer. (don't know if pulling that huge drawer just to grab those would get old) Plus I've had seperate drawers for each size for 25 years, might be a hard thing to change. Not sure if anyone here has done that and regretted it?

This sounds all so picky I know, but we just purchased a new house and the wife is letting me have my "dream" garage, so I'm taking my time and making it right!!

I appreciate any comments or suggestions!!

Thanks!!
