Snap on tool box model number questions

I'm looking to buy an old snap on box. It's a kr537b. What's the b designation at the end? I used to think it was bearing slides but that's apparently not the case. I've come across the a and d at the end as well. Thanks for the help

They are revision levels as near as I can tell. The higher the letter, the more up-to-date the item is.

most of the letter revisions seem to be cosmetic...

like drawer trim, or a newer style logo...

500 series was always friction slide. 600 series are ball bearings.
