Was at the swap meet this morning and a guy had 26" top and bottom box that had Snap On stickers, stamped made in Canada in back.....My question is: were Snap On tool boxes ever made in Canada?
Told him if they did not sell at the swap to give me a call tonight and we would discuss them.

Yes Snap-on boxes have been made in Canada, If I'm remembering right many of the KRA boxes are/were? made in Canada while the KRL boxes are USA made.

If they were made in Canada, would they have only had Snap On decals or stickers identifying them as Snap On? Also, where might the model number be on them? Back panel? Front drawer?

the snap on KRA and KRB series boxes and maybe the KIQ series was made in canada. my blue point KRB was made in 2001 and it is made in canada. quality is not sacrificed at any angle. just as good as the USA boxes.

it may have been for cost reasons.

Tonydanzah - you hit the nail on the head. No badges or logos anywhere on the 2 boxes, only Snap On stickers on the front as well as inside the lid of the top box.
I went to the Gray website and looked at the tool boxes. The style of the handle, as well as the chrome trim on the drawer pulls ends this mystery. The boxes are indeed Gray tool boxes. Thank you for the suggestion.
Now, if that phone call comes this evening, the price on them just plummeted........
