I've been talking with my SnapOn man about warrantying the drawer slides in my boxes.

Now he wants the serial numbers off the boxes to precede. Perhaps he doesn't think I bought them new? I don't know.

Anyway, the boxes are at home now since I don't work as a tech anymore and are kind of "built in".

Anyone know where I can find the serial numbers on my KRL 1003's? I bought them new in 1995.

Recently, I bought off CL a kr7100 manufactured in 1989.

I called Snap On's toll free and asked for replacement slides. 2 weeks later, new slides/ new box. Couldn't have been easier and they didn't ask for a serial number.

I'm not sure if it applies to boxes that old, but the newer boxes have a sticker on the inside bottom, if you remove the bottom drawers you should be able to see it.

I can only see a little bit of the back (built in) with a mirror. If I knew where to look on the back it would help. On a three bay there is a lot of space.

Removed the bottom drawers and found the paint code stickers, nothing else.

Every Snap on tools box i've seen and owned the tag or stamps have been in the top left as seen looking at the back of the box. I know on the newer boxes that have the adhesive stickers there is always a second one somewhere inside the box. I never looked on the KRA I owned but on the Epiq I own now there is one behind the power bank drawer.
