I traded in my old single bank KRA2007FPC roll cab which I bought new for $1200 plus $2000 for a repo double bank KRA2422PCM roll cab. I was wondering what are the differences in the Snap On tool box series. The classic, epiq, heritage, and master series? I have a KRA while most of the guys I have worked with have a KRL. From what I've been told the KRL are better than the KRA. Enlighten me on what the difference is.

The ranking goes from top to bottom:

Epiq
Masters
Classic
Heritage
Blue-Point

KRA boxes (Heritage and Classic) are lower end, and have slightly thinner steel, lighter duty, blah blah. Still very good toolboxes. KRL (Masters) are the older top-shelf boxes. Still preferred by many. Epiq is their newer stuff, as good or better than Masters series boxes. Blue-Point are their bottom barrel stuff.

I don't know if it's on the Snap-on website but in the front of their catalog there's a quick reference chart that compares the different series.

The Heritage KRA's use lighter steel pretty much everywhere but the top and bottom of the box and they're put together differently as well. Then you have lighter duty slides and casters, different trim, etc., etc., etc.

And Murph beat me to it while I was typing.

Older krl (5+years or older) have heavier gauge steel than the do now
Same as epiq is now

But all have lifetime warranty look at what style you like the best and if you want a top box or just a roll cab

Classic series now has the same gauge steel as the Masters and Epiq. The top two will have nicer casters, trim, and some of the drawers will take more weight.
Also, you'll find a few more options on the top end models, such as colors, etc.

Heritage has the lighter gauge steel, lighter casters, etc. Basically the first step up from Blue Point.

Hope this link helps.
