I have a slightly newer version along with the bottom I got fro $1000 full of tools. I would say $300 is right in the ballpark. They are heavy duty for sure.

I've always wanted a taco cart, but I can never seem to find any for sale.

The year of manufacture and model number are stamped on the back of the box. I have an early eighties taco wagon KRA-398B with a KR-550R top box. Built like a tank and has held up good. Has been used professionally since new.

Thanks for all the info guys! I really like this find and may just end up with another Taco Kart from the same guy i got this one from.I like it that much already. The model must be under the paint because i looked on the back and didn't see it. oh well.

Be early 80 at the latest, that box used to be THEE top box to have, most were on a matching bottom. But I've seen a lot on taco carts when guy ran out of room.

Sometimes you need to look real hard with good light to find the stamping on the back of the box. And yes the box is tank.

Of all the boxes I have bought and sold, I have yet to get a taco cart. I am going to a sale this weekend and there is one there. Hope to come home with it. If it is straight, I may have it painted extreme green and use it as a focal point in my store.

Hey there and welcome! So yes and no on the slides. Your best bet would be to call or write Snap On to see what is available for the box. They seem to be tightening up in warranty, especially for non truck customers. I paid for a few slides and they sent me some. I made it clear I was not the original owner and they warrantied out a lot of slides.

The slides have part numbers, so pull a few you need, de grease them and find the numbers if you can. The SO parts catalog leaves much to be desired.

The older friction slides can be cleaned and straightened, and will work ok for a long time if you're a home gamer. As long as they aren't cracked or mangled, they're savable.

Good luck and you've got a nice set up!
