Hey guys,

I bought a KRSC40 a few months ago brand new and have since loaded it to its max in my opinion. I could probably organize it better or really cram stuff in like my Craftsman but i like to lay my SO stuff out like a display.....tool polisher! Anyways it came up while talking to my SO guy about how i thought the bottom drawer was a waste to me being so deep. He offered to bring a KRSC46 in extreme green (im a green guy) and take my cart in on trade. I could really use the two smaller drawers. They look to be the same price on the website and mine is still brand new...not a scratch. I havent traded in anything more than a few ratchets and pliers. In everyones past experience what should i be paying out of pocket for the trade?....if anything?

Thanks for any info:beer:

I wouldn't pay a lot for just 2 extra drawers. Don't they make a kit that adds two drawers?

That was the first thing i asked. Taking my big drawer out and adding two small ones but he thought it would run around 400 or so and thought swapping boxes would be a better route. I assumed that meant a cheaper route as well.:(

I dont want to trade it in and take a $1000 hit on a $1590 cart. Just wanted to get an idea before i talked swapping with him.

On this type of deal my dealer would usually do a straight trade if your box is as stated(I've never lost money on a toolbox trade)..on the other side of it I wouldn't do the trade if I was having to pay more than $250

i did that a while back and i did it for 400 ( the box did show a little wear )
just ask. do not be scared, if you like the deal then go for it, if not figure out how to cram the stuff in there. I am not a BS kind of dealer. I tell you how it is and we go from there.
Just sold 2 used scanners and 3 tool boxes this past week. Sold two used boxes this morning and delivered a krl7023bpbo to my bosses customer today. NO BS is your best approach. tell him what you want.

I would make you an offer on it. I get home in June and could pick it up from you then if you can hide it in the back of your shop.
