Impressive.

I can see where one of those would be a cool gift a person could use.

Holy Sheep Dip!!!

Impressive, they are...

Useful, they're not...

Too much for too little...

For me...

Of course collecting anything is not a rational decision...

How many #2 Phillips screwdrivers does one need???

If you pieced that set together one by one you're a more patient (and wealthy) person than I am! I have a "collection" of sorts of ratcheting screwdrivers and I've been picking them up over the past few years. I stayed away from the nfl and NASCAR ones because I'm not a huge fan of either and there's so many of them I'd go insane locating them all! I saw an auction on ebay uk (iirc) a little while ago of a similar (or maybe it was the same set) as that and the dollar amount was getting up there when I looked at it. The value of that set is very subjective. I wouldn't give a lot for it based on reasons stated above but if you could hook a person that's into NASCAR, football and tools and is a collector, you could about set any price you want. Only way to get close to the true market value is to auction it off with a reserve. Set the reserve at the minimum you'd accept and sit back and watch.

That's an awesome collection! I've never seen the wrenches before and I didn't realize they made a screwdriver for every team.

Interestingly, although the sets appear to be missing the Browns, during 1996-1997 (when these sets date from) there were no Browns!

And of course no Texans or Titans either, but there were Oilers, which I see you have.

Sets are complete!

Wow very nice collection. I can't imagine what they would go for online between football and tool lovers combined. I see your Patriots driver has gone untouched. Are you trying to say something there?

Thank you for the comments guys. I have possibly made the decision to pass them on but I have not a clue what to price it at. I know what's its cost to put it together or what I could get if sold individually but as a full set does it always mean more ? I'd like to think so to the right person. And it would be a shame to split this collection up.

How is it that you possess a large and expensive collection and don't know its value?

could be a 5 finger discount, :dunno::dunno:, could be gift from great great great aunt from the 1800's, who knows, they just are pricing so they can pitch it on the bay.

I could see them hanging on a Christmas tree in a sports bar.... A bit too nice to actually use..... SnapOn or eBay would give a better idea of value that what I ever could... As with any collectible; save the boxes and original paperwork..

Unless you're in dire need of the money you'd be crazy to sell them individually. Put them on cheesebay with reserve, they'll sell. Obviously pricing them is a pita, lets see if I can help.

1: Your average 1/2 snap on wrench goes for what?............................$78.99
2: Special commemorative snap on etching for, oh lets say ..................$56.72
3: Double extra special commemorative purpose built box.....................$32.14
Grand wiz banger total per wrench since it's snap on $167.85

Add to the fact you have what?, 386 of them right? so lets see, that's a grand total of $64,790.10. Hell that's just enough money to cover a set of 1/2" impact sockets.

Good luck!!.

LOL, seriously sell them as a set, it's very impressive and you will get whatever you ask for it as long as it's in line with the original cost.

The snap on wrenches are the worst. Nobody wants them. My driver gives them away when he gets them. Nobody wants to display useless wrenches. The drivers on the other hand have some interest. Some guys will buy them just to use their favorite team, but those guys are few and far between. You need to find a tool polisher that has some money or a snap on collector. Both of which are very rare these days.

I don't care what anyone says...That's a nice collection and I can appreciate the time and $$ that went into making it complete.

Well congratulations, joined GJ this morning and it took you a little less than 10 hours to prove you're a BALD-FACED LIAR!

They are on ebay....I got them in my " watch" list lol

Just noticed the ebay seller name "tools4less".......hmmmmm?!?! LMAO

pretty sure you are watching the wrong seller

Nope, right seller, same pics - this POS has been registered since 2005 as a business seller in the UK and has been regularly selling tools for the past year or so. Now I got no issues what-so-ever with anyone buying and selling/flipping tools, or with anyone selling tools asking for any thoughts on value, particularly oddball/rare/limited edition stuff. Just be honest and upfront about what you're doing!! It's this SOB's faking and outright lies he/she/it has spewed here trying to play members. Registers this morning, starts this thread right off, posts a couple short meaningless replies to a couple other threads to fake being an interested contributor, then lists the "collection" on ebay without a word here - "I have possibly made the decision to pass them on..." was posted here AFTER the ebay listing apparently started (if I've got my time zones straight...)

Most likely not an "Amy" either - just playing a naive-sounding young woman to gain sympathy and additional interest from gullible auto and tool crazy guys....:rocketwho

There was no Cleveland Browns in '96 or '97 when these were made. Browns came back for '99 season.

all of the wrenches are the same size, anyone know what size?

+1 That's annoying when they don't list the size. Are the wrenches usable?

I know what it's worth piece by piece but I was asking as a set is it worth more... If the auction on ebay in the link above does not fetch good money then this will be split so I can offer all the above the individual ratchets etc watch this space

well of course the wrenches are usable, but they are all the same size, and would be more expensive than the regular Snap-On version

what size are they?????????

It's not that I don't know it's value but what it's value to me and everyone else can be very different

would like to add to this comment that the only reason I have not said I sell tools is because I registered on here the other day listed a very similar post and I was banned from the site almost instantly

I still have no idea why I was banned as the reason was specified. I buy and sell tools but I purchased this set and I would like to resell it but would hold onto it for the right buyer to come along.

I am not playing anyone and i was just asking for sown advice! I re registered on here and worded the thread the way I have due to the fact I was originally banned. The reason I can only think I was banned was because I was mentioning selling this collection and had under 100 posts so was this not allowed ? I'm new to the site so I'm a little unsure

I sell tools as a hobby which gives me a holiday a year through ebay sales. Never purchased a collection or set like this and I genuinely do not want to split it because the gentleman who did piece it together well it would have taken some work to say the least.

I didn't advertise these for sale de to my initial ban. If anyone can help me find out why iners initially banned for a similar post of these ratchets etc then I will revise my thread right away.

This was the only forum online i could find that had some posts regarding the ratchets etc so I had to re join to find out what I wanted to find out

Cheers amy - aka Aaron :)

Cheers amy - aka Aaron :)

Thoroughly confused now. :headscrat T&A or D&B? Or all the above?

Either way, I don't give a ****. I think that is one hell of a collection, even if I do despise team sports.

I would think that set "could" and should go for a pretty penny. How often will one find this set again. It's a rarity for sure. I'd be looking to trade it for a cabin in the woods or a hotshot truck. lol.

BTW: I'm just goofin with ya on the top line. No hard feelings.
