The implication was that he was not completely straight with his posted comments.

He was banned and then reappeared. Something that has always been the cause for another ban in the past.

yep, and look at the bid pattern, kinda unusual

Really when what the bid pattern looks like to me is two possibly three interested bidders making feeler bids to see where the other bidders are at. It's early days. So the comment about bidding on my items in the past this bidder has not. Make your own conclusion your just annoyed you can't afford it

Fully appreciate your comment here but I have explained my self and apologised not much more I can do. Nothing malicious was in it simply just trying to get around finding a value and price for the sale of my item before hitting he 100post mark that is all.

whys this dude getting so much ****? help me out here?

Was wondering the same thing. Some really nasty comments on here (or maybe just nasty people):dunno: Geez, the young one did a stupid thing by re-registering under a different name and maybe not telling the whole truth. But he has told the truth and apologized several times. He realises he did a stupid thing and has owned up to it. How many of you perfect people haven't lied to your wives about how much that "new" tool you just bought? Cut him some slack:headshake

He seems like like someone to give a second chance. And maybe when he participates in other threads and gets to 100 posts so he can post in the classifieds, some of you guy's might just buy some of his tools.

I think he gets it now the rules and etiquette around here.

We are not sitting at your dinner table chatting. You come on to a forum the first impression you make often stays with you. You will find most people are not happy if you are explaining your actions that are contrary to accepted behavior on a forum.
This is the internet there are a lot of scams that take place, so when you raise red flags you get responses you do not want to hear or read.

I was just answering a question based on the information I gathered from your posting....

Well, sold for $4,534.20 USD. http://www.ebay.com/itm/SNAP-ON-NFL...FsM2jlUqSvihaSyjqsuPI%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc

Is that what you all thought it would go for? More? Less?

I really had no idea...I figured it would at least break the $2k mark.

Stuff like this that only interests (mainly) NFL+Snap On junkies, really limits your potential buyer crowd. Couple that with 7 days auction to have X amount of BIG money, and it ***** from a sellers stand point.

I'm sure there are people that would have paid more had they had more time etc. And this holds true for all auctions of course.

I figured it'd top out at $4k or so so I wasnt too far off. Quite a bit shy of the 4000 pounds the seller thought they were worth but thats stuill a healthy number for a collection like that IMHO.

So, what do you think the OP had into it? OP, care to share?

I'm guessing between $1500 and $2,400. Maybe $1k if he had a good come up....or hell, maybe he got it all for $200. What do I know? lol

I am guessing you will not hear from him again, and I doubt it would be a straight answer.
Betting his next post will be something to plug. Even though he caused a mild uproar he gets exposure out of it in the search engines. Which I am betting is all he really wanted.

as with most tool flippers, he likely paid at most half of what he let them go for. Doubling your investment at minimum seems to be the rule of thumb with flippers.

I was thinking a couple grand but it quickly reached that. Fun to watch nonetheless. So who bought 'em? :lol_hitti

I just broke even on these guys I literally bought them because I liked them and not knowing their true value they owe me £2500 GbP

No payment received yet though.

And if not received they will all be split and sold separately however knowing the Market a little better now I'd be grateful to break even on it all

Don't really care what you think pal I came in here to find out and got ruined by responses from children who threw their toys out of their prams over a name change. Yes I bought them on a gamble what I do with my money is my choice nothing to do with your so called intelligence.

Seems like on here that no one can do anything right and people love to just abuse and have a pop at people

I'd like to see all these keyboard warriors do it face to face I'm sure half of them would not be as happy as they are on here

I think I'd like to request a ban

Sick to death of you miserable bastardi

Soooo.....Now that your auction has ended you decide to be a jerk?

You don't need to request a ban man. You can go on your own. Or you can stick around, be honest from here on out, and enjoy the GJ for what it is. Keep in mind, we didn't start this.

Jealousy? Not really. I wouldn't want a huge lot of tools that I'd be afraid to use. I'm glad you found a buyer, but I doubt all that many of us here have anything to be jealous about.

Really not trying to be a jerk but people now saying that I didn't pay what I did for them? The auctions ended I could of said happy days I made 1500 on them but I haven't it makes no difference to any member on here what I paid or make on them. I'm tired of all the bashing going on over a ****** name change for trying to find a value of a set I bought. Life is taken to seriously on here so if rather not be a part of it

Awwwwww, poor Amy/Aaron :(, looks like the high bidder on her/his No Reserve auction (with a 37 count feedback and bid 6 times on only that one auction in the past 30 days), has turned out to be a non-paying bidder :shocking:

Apparently Amy/Aaron was REALLY LUCKY and found out out REALLY FAST, 'cause she/he has relisted the auction as a Buy It Now/Best Offer for 30 days and GPB 500 HIGHER than the ending bid (that's in the neighborhood of $750 more for us silly 'mericans). I say REALLY LUCKY and REALLY FAST 'cause she/he relisted it today roughly 24 hours after the no reserve auction ended. :wtf:

THANK GOODNESS for honest non-paying bidders who quickly contact a poor unsuspecting seller to confess their nefarious deed!! Where WOULD fleabay be without such HONESTY! :puke:

:see: No Reserve Auction ended 18 Jan 5:00 pm, and the 30 day BIN/BO started 19 Jan (ends 18 Feb 5:54 pm)

Well apparently the new BIN/BO can't be found with a fleabay search here in the USA 'cause the seller has changed the shipping options - was willing to ship to us here in the states during the auction, but now isn't quite so willing (without contact first, so it won't show up in a stateside search). So anyone here in the good 'ol US of A will have to go to the earlier posted auction link and hit "relisted this item". I'm not going to direct link it again to give her/him easy extra advert - heck, she/he apparently doesn't want to sell it to any of us anyway...:(

Well Amy/Aaron certainly has a right to be fickle and change her/his mind any time - as if NOTHING ELSE has changed in this twisted little story over the past, what, 11 days?

And just for a few stats, Amy/Aaron joined GJ on 8 Jan (same day the auction started) and has made 25 total posts as of this moment - 22 to this thread she/he started as her/his first post, and only 3 short replies to just 3 other threads, with those 3 occuring literally minutes after starting this one. This info is easily found by simply looking at her/his public profile and clicking on "Find all posts..."

Oh what a tangled web we weave... :Violent:

One last thought - there just might be a smidgen of truth hidden somewhere in Amy/Aaron's twisting tale, and maybe even a real non-paying bidder that I hypothesized :D, but since this convoluted story has had more twists and turns than a corkscrew, and Amy/Aaron has now decided to parody the Monty Python Argument Sketch (or maybe a Threes Stooges short), well good luck ever really finding it...:headscrat

Cheers!!! :)

Jealousy is a ***** isn't it. Poor men spend more time on here than with your wife's

Been married to long have we boys?

Idiots

Alot of us (Just generalizing) likely have more money worth of stuff in a single drawer in our tool boxes then your $4000 or whatever bid of those silly collectable NFL wrenches and drivers.

Some of us likely will have more money ******* in a couple of drawers than your ****** collection.

Almost ALL of us will have more money in tools than what your collection is worth.

So before you play the YOUR POOR AND IM RICH card... you seriously need to find another forum. Tool's are not cheap, quality tools are expensive. For you to actually say everybody here doesn't have money because we are all laughing at your foolish purchase is like going to a Porsche enthusiast forum and saying the members are all broke. You must be from a different planet if you really think your agreement has any merit

But nobody here is as stupid in spending as much money on as many same sized wrenches as you. That is the difference.

I am very surprised how childish people insist on acting in this thread, I thought GJ was a little more civilized...
