How do you determine the height of a snap-on box without casters? Specifically the KRA4107. The website lists the box as 39.1 inches tall, does that include casters?

Additionally, what size socket is needed to take the casters and mounts off the box? If that's the best way to remove them.

Couple things, one less helpful than the other.

One, yes, all of the roll cabinets' listed heights inlcude the casters, as well as the lip running along the rear and sides of the box. Snap-on does offer their toolboxes without casters; they can be found in their industrial catalog. Looks like the KRS1056 is the closest match to the KRA4107 sans casters. The KRS series ranges in height from 36.82" to 64" - if you're trying to fit one under a tabletop or something, that may be worth a look.

Second, if you can't figure out what size socket is necessary to remove the casters, I question your need for a Snap-on toolbox.

Good to know, thanks guys. The reason I ask for socket size is because I'm going to have to go pick it up (it's a three hour drive away, at the grandparent-in-law's house), and I don't have a great way of bringing entire sets with me. So any info on socket size would be a great help.

You can always call Snap On and ask. Whatever they tell you, grab sizes up and down from it so it they're off, you should still have the right size. I'd take a 1/2" and 3/8" ratchet and sockets and a good adjustable wrench. That should cover you. And a couple of small extensions for each ratchet.
