Hello, I am a garage noob looking for a toolbox since I need a 2nd one. I may have lucked out because today I found the attached top/bottom stack for $200 in my area. They didn't say it was SnapOn but it looks like it is (and not just a sticker) from the pics. Is this too good to be true? They said all the drawers work as they should, so the only way it wouldn't be worth $200 is if the drawers were damaged beyond repair right? But even then, doesn't SnapOn have a lifetime warranty? I'll have to drive an hour to get it.

FYI they are not including the side cabinet in the pic, just the top and bottom. Screenshot_20230102_162539_Messenger.jpg

Both boxes appear to be legit Snap-On rigs from the 1970ish time period. You won't find warranty parts for these hulks but there are parts still floating around on Ebay. $200 is a good price even around where I live provided that the boxes still function.

Once you buy them, you can look on the back of each box for a model and date stamp.

Brought it home tonight. It sounds like dawn dish soap half diluted with water and a scotch pad is the right way to start trying to clean up the dirt and grease.

The chrome sticker stuff is peeling off the drawers if anyone knows how to remove the remaining bits of it.
