Okay everyone... I am buying a new snap on classic 78 roll cab. I have the student discount so my cost is 2,099... Retail is 4700 I think. Anyway I am totally stuck on what color to get since I'm sure this will be the last box I will buy. Color suggestions please!

Red has become too tired/boring. Black will show every blemish and fingerprint. Yellow, Green, Purple and Orange will get old fast and could limit future resale.

The obvious answer is Royal Blue.

In my opinion, red will probably have the highest resale value...plus, I like red. I have a 5-6 year old KRL series box in red and I love it...well except for the rust at the bottom edge and seam. One would think a box that expensive wouldn't rust so easy.

red is a fail safe color, it good anywhere, once you get into the other colors then the shop has to match. some mechanic shops you can have any color as long as its red.

you get the black ernhart box with the bling that be the first box the crooks hit.

but the trucks tv show with all the yellow boxes look sweet. I saw a green one that I like

I'm actually partial to the purple, but everyone else hate it... then I'll stay away because resale does matter, and, because it means I can maybe get a 2nd hand purple for even less than my student discount :)

I might go with blue! Looks sweet, neither as ...regular as red, nor as loud as the green and orange, nor pretentious like the black.

There are shops that dictate what color box you can have?

Probably does look a lot more shop having all the boxes in the shop the same color.

I've got black. I really like the blue. (I thought the Classic 78 only came in 4 colors?) Don't know if it's the same shade as the KRL's, but those KRL blues are sharp.

Red is the classic color and will always look new. All the other colors are trendy and will date themselves in a few years. Unless you have a favorite color that you can't live without, go red.
