It's been a while but I just received this 1936 Catalog L. In nice condition overall.

Hi. New poster here. Could someone point me to the catalog that featured the 2nd generation of <textured> hard handle screwdrivers and ratchets in colors other than black and orange? I'm trying to find the part numbers for extra long screwdrivers in the titanium color and a hard handle version of SHLL80a (24' fixed head 1/2 drive ratchet w/ hard handle). I dont think the hard handle version were 80 tooth so dont hold me to the that part #. Thank you -Chris

Those specialty colors were not listed in the catalogs. They would be shown in the monthly flyers as they were temporary colors. I don't believe there was a hard handle version of the 24" soft-grip SHLL80A.

The part number stamped on the ratchet is the same for all colors, just the handle was different. You would add the color suffix at the end, in this case DT for dark titanium.

To the best of my knowledge the only hard handle ratchets (they did produce soft grips in the color) were:

SHD80ADT = 12" Hard Grip Standard Fixed Head Ratchet
SHLD80ADT = 16" Hard Grip Long Fixed Head Ratchet
SHFD80ADT = 17" Hard Grip Standard Flex Head Ratchet
SHBBD24DT = 24" Hard Grip Breaker Bar
SHLFD80ADT = 25" Hard Grip Long Flex Head Ratchet

Also, all of the recent 1/2" drive ratchets are 80 tooth, hence the 80 in the part number.

As far as the screwdrivers I don't remember off the top of my head if they came in a long or cabinet screwdriver length.

Hope that helps.

Has anyone ever come across these 1950 catalog T prices? They are 8 pages each, I cannot find anything similar at all. Any info is much appreciated
I have some price guides dating back to the 1940s. I do not have 1950 specifically. Not sure what you're looking for, exactly.

I recently started collecting some older and vintage Snap-on catalogs. I know I'm not alone but didn't see a dedicated post so I figured I'd start one. My collection is pretty small compared to what others may have but I pick them up when I see one for a decent price. Feel free to add to the post, I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone else has.
