snap-on tools unknown bits

found these strange snap-on bits, they are marked E-4 3/8 drill, E-3 1/4 drill, E-2 3/16 drill, E-1 1/8 drill, i tried looking them up by their #s with no luck, anyone have any idea what these are???? thanks..sdc

Probably an easy out or stripped screw extractor. The drill size is to let you know which drill bit to use with each.

Neat though. They look older.

I have a set similar to that but they came in a small box. I think they may have been made by Rigid for Snap-On. The Blue Point pouch that they are in is pretty old. I only have one similar to that (for a set of punches) and I am certain it is from the 50's, possibly earlier.
