Hello All,

I'm trying to estimate the value of a vintage Snap-on Tools Gold/Diamond Ring. The ring appears to be from the late 1960's and was owned by a Snap-on Tools salesman.

The ring has the following features and design:

1.87 ounces
10 K Gold
Snap-on is in the middle surrounded by 5 - three point diamonds.
A wrench and pillars is on the sides with a blackish background.

Anyone have any thoughts and or advice as to what the value may be or how I may locate a appraiser with knowledge of Snap-on jewelry???

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I am sure it was a sales award for reaching a certain level of sales. The first year you win the ring. Each subsequent year that you reach a certain level, you earn a diamond in that ring. I have a similar ring with a couple of diamonds in it.

I've got one that is similar to that one, only you would get another diamond after every 5 years. Could have been a Canada only thing though. Mine has six diamonds and counting.

Chad is correct though, that was more than likely due to sales awards.

Just curious... what's the COO of the ring? :bounce: How about the warranty? Can you put a hard handle on it?

Sorry, I just had to ask.
