I'd buy it, after a in person inspection of course.

It isn't the "old" that makes that box worthless. It's the condition. It lived its life. Let it die quietly.

I diagree, you can't gauge the true condition based on those pictures alone. Doing so is just ignorant in my opinion.

I'd also check this out if looking for a box.

Snap-on or not, I wouldn't pay 2 cents for that piece of ****. It belongs in the dump.

From reading some of your other posts, it does seem as if your ignorantly excusing these out of turn. You have commented on desiring quality, but can't seem to realize that in many cases "old quality" is much better than "new quality". I wouldn't even consider most new products that are supposedly top quality to be that, when compared to much of the older name brand products that might just need cleaning or even minor repair.

Granted I didn't read all of your previous posts, but since you seem to be concerned with the quality differences between differing Asian manufacturers, I would think your idea of quality is quite low.

Maybe you don't have the time to put into a used good to great quality tool, maybe your just lazy, or perhaps you have to have brand new, I don't know. Whatever your reasoning may be, you may want to give a little rational justification to your opinions. I know I would appreciate it, especially as pointed out, all you have to go on is a picture.

I would rather be lazy then be a ******** who personally attacks complete strangers on an internet forum because of a difference of OPINION about tools.

I've been watching CL locally for around the last 6 months looking for a similar vintage box. Prices here in Minneapolis must be pretty high because that would sell quick here at that price.

I'd bring it home and clean that baby up. I think it's cool.

"Bottomless pit of restoration" without the c.i. for 200 bones. But I'm jaded, I buy Lista Cabinets for $200.

To me those old boxes are only "cool factor". What I mean by this is "form follows function" in my shop, and a Lista for example gives you so much more for the space. I know the old boxes are good quality and what not, but what if you need to stack lead bricks in the drawer...that Snappy won't hold up.

If I had to keep that box, I'd paint it and it would definitely become a living room piece or something.
