I've been in the market for a snap on torque wrench.. I like the ones with the adjustment on the side.
If I buy a used one, I would like to get it calibrated. Is this a service Snap On offers? I once heard a dealer could do it, but I could also see him shying away from doing free work for someone who had never bought from him.

Most SO tool trucks have a device to "check" the calibration. However, they will not perform a calibration adjustment.

Tell him your concern about free work, and slip him $10 for the favor.

The wrench you speak about is made by Precision instruments and is available much cheaper with this brand name stamped on it, but without a Snappy ratchet head.

You should find a dealer with the "Checker". I bought my first torque wrenches in 1998 and both checked dead on with my dealers "Checker". Their torque wrenches are pretty good. That being said I treat mine like glass and they get used and back into my box unloaded to protect them.

I have 3 snap on clicker type torque wrenches that I need to have checked and possibly re calibrated.

I called snap on via the number on their webside finally got the correct phone number for the department i needed. However after being transfered a bunch of times it was already closing time.

The charge to recalibrate is just short of about 70 bucks per as tow hat the guy i spoke to said.

I am waiting on a snapon truck to call me to check before i send in
