Snap On torque wrench question

I have a TQFR250 and a TQFR250D that were recently sent out to SO service center for inspection/calibration. The TQFR250 was sent back untouched because they do not have a certain bolt that is required. I understand that there are changes made over the life of certain models and that the D suffix represents that, but don't these have a lifetime warranty ? I didn't really question it at the time since I don't do much business with the SO guy, but now I'm thinking that maybe I should follow up.

I am a volunteer bottom end guy on a nostalgia top fuel dragster, so these aren't used "professionally", but accuracy is important. Right now the tool in question indicates that it is "clicking" about 5 lbs higher than it should at 75 ft/lb setting, 6.75% off if I did my math right.......

Does anyone have any suggestions or solid info regarding how to get this handled thru SO ? I suppose that I could take it to an independent tool shop for verification ?

Pretty sure their torque wrenches don't have the lifetime warranty. Most are just 1 year but a few models are 2 years. I know mine was only 1 year when I bought it new.

Torque wrenches aren't really that accurate. Bolt length, number of threads, how clean the threads are, lubrication, whether there is a washer under the bolt head, and so many more variables. The key is tightening each bolt evenly and "close" to the torque spec.
