i was fortunate enough to get a deal on a BUNCH of broken or "do not use" snap on torque wrenches. various part numbers, drive sizes, ect..

i listed 5 of them on ebay.. sold as-is, and theyre doing quite well i think.

so here is my question. some are missing the ratchet assembally, all seem to be un-tensioned at the end of the handle. lets use this one im going to link to this thread as a example.. what does it cost to get them rebuilt? will snapon even do that? or im probably better off dumping them as is?

75 bucks last time I sent one in. Not sure how much they will fix, all they did was replace the plastic torque range piece, new rubber handle, and calibrate for mine.

If they are the older click type and the ratchet head is skipping then parts may not be available. Mine is about 20 years old and it skips. No warranty, no parts available, and not worth a dime for trade in. I guess I could weld the ratchet and use it as is but I don't think so....

Maybe I should do that with mine since it's useless to me now. Mind telling me what I can get for it? 1/2 inch 30-250 fl/lbs.
