Snap on torque wrench

Hi everyone
I just purchased from my neighbor his snap on toolbox and several tools for an amazing deal.
One of the tools is the SO TQR600E torque wrench. It has been only used 4 times in it's career , however for my current job I need to get it certified if I want to use it.
How does one certify a tool or a torque wrench?

I had purchased a 1/2" TQR click style years back (its gotta be 15yrs old). Sent to Snap-on had calibrated and perfect working order. Ask for the slip of before/afters if you do.

Either find a local business that does industrial instrumentation calibration or have your Snap on dealer send it in for you.

When I purchased a snap on torque wrench I had it calibrated by snap on. It was a painless process.

According to your signature you're in the Seattle area - in a large metropolitan area (especially one with Boeing nearby) there has to be multiple places that can calibrate a torque wrench. A quick google search turned up this list:

I have a 1/2 inch Snap on torque wrench that is probably 45 years old. I was at a car show last weekend and there was a snap on truck there. I talked to the truck owner who told me that some older snap on torque wrenches can not be calibrated or repaired. Not sure if this is true.

Not true, in fact the older stuff is cheaper to test and tune.

Not always able to bring into spec if the internals are corroded or damaged.

I have repaired and recalibrated about 100 Snapon torque wrenches. Parts are no longer available for some older Snapon torque wrenches. The Snapon dealer was correct.
