Does any body know how to calibrate a snap-on 1/2 dr. click torque wrench model TQR250C.
Snap-on is sending me a repair kit , but I'd like this to be also calibrated. Ron

That is not normally a DIY operation. If you are expecting to calibrate it to factory standards that may be a stretch. Do you have a torque tester? Does the term gauge R&R mean anything to you? If the answer to these is not yes, then I would send it to Snap-On for calibration if it really needs to be calibrated.

I totally agree. I was taking my torque wrenches to Motion Industries for calibration after I retired. My ex employer had a calibration system. I do not have access.
If your wrench ratchet is skipping it may nothing more than some dried lube and collected dust. I do not lube my ratchets. I have some SK. Craftsman and S/O ratchets that are over 65 years old and have been dry all of their time. Give some thought to how slowly and how much the ratchet mechanism moves and you may agree on no lube.

The torque wrench does not skip I cleaned it and greased it , no teeth worn or broken, and no I will not calibrate it myself, but a snap-on rep around here is not even thought of, I would prefer not to send it away but have someone local do it .I am in Canada and already spoke to snap-on with no real answers. Funny thing the snap-on truck parks just 1 km from my house , but can't make a house call . it has to be a business. R

Here is the response from snap-on , I asked for a rep's name . I used to spend 50K a year with the government account we had. Now they won't even look at me .

Unfortunately I am unable to give out the contact information for Snap-on representatives in the area unless you work at a shop that is part of their list of calls.

Translation: order from us online directly so we keep all the profit. They really look out for their dealers and set them up for success. Not.
You can find local dealers online with a Google search, but dealers should have the option to be referred directly from the SO website by a "enter your zip code" search.

So why dont you just go to where the truck is parked and ask they owner/dealer for help?

Well I thought about that , but it's obvious they don't want you to do this , a few years ago I flagged him down when he drove by the house and he never even slowed down.
