Does Snap On make a hard handled torx driver? I know they have them with the instinct handle, but I really want the hard handle. I have a hard time catching up with my dealer since I moved off his route.

I need to pick up about a 1/2 dozen #20 torx drivers, but I want the hard handles. And yes I have ratchet screwdrivers that have replaceable tips. But I need straight drivers also. :shocking:

I think your closest option would be a hard grip Instinct set. To my knowledge hard handle Torx drivers are not available from Snap-On.

That's the conclusion I'm coming to. I twisted the end off my last Wiha this morning. I really like the soft grip, but I know those are gone from Snap On's line up.

Good luck. I don't know why they don't have the classic hard-handle in Torx. A lot of guys like them and don't want anything else. The Instincts take some getting used to, but you will come to like them. I love mine: Phillips, flat blade, Torx. They are all terrific and I wouldn't trade them for anything.

I have a set of snap-on torx drivers that I bought off the truck about 8 years ago. They have the old type hard handles.

I'll bet if you ask your snap on guy he can order what you want.

I've have a set of green Instinct screw drivers. Had them for a couple years now. Can't stand them. I miss the soft handles. But the hard handles were nicer. Since the hard handles came back a bit, figured I'd try and get some torx drivers with them.

Maybe, Mr. Snap On will be able to "assemble" me some.

Maybe your driver will take the Torx shafts and put them into the hard handles. That's one possibility. My driver has a whole drawer full of driver shafts for warranty and he'll make up a driver with any handle.

I see the old style hard handle sets on ebay all the time. Being that you are wanting 6 of the exact same size and not a set, that may take some time and patience to accomplish.

Talking with your Snap-on guy is probably your best bet.
