Snap on torx letters?

My Snap On torx are marked different. I have 2 T30"s, one is marked ftx30a and the other is marked ftx30e. They are both 3/8 drive and look identical. I also have one marked ftx27. These all have the same Snap On Logo's and all look the same. Why all the different suffix's? Thanks.

I can't give u the specific anser but sometimes when snap on updates a design difference in the same model tool they usually change or add a letter at the end.
Also I can't remember but there is heady duty and standard torx Whig carry diff numbers

The "B" designation is for the heavy duty torx.

FTXB27E is the heavy duty (gold) version
FTX27E would be the standard black oxide version

The FTX30A is an older model than the FTX30E

A model uses pin to hold the bit in and b model it's just pressed in

OK. so it looks like I have mismatched Torx, I am sure they all work
