Hi all...locally a "brand new" KRA 2411 in "tribal graphics"...kind of looks like light beige grass/weeds? 55"x24"x32"

Listed as retail...$3,795...dealer cost...$2,670...for sale...$2,000.

What's your guess...a dealer getting rid of?

Anyone seen/own a "tribal graphics" paint scheme?

What say you?...what is it worth if you are "OK" with the weird paint?

Thanks...Tom R

I see that this KRA 2411 Tribal Graphics is also a "Classic 78". What is the meaning of the Classic 78???

Is the Classic 78 a good box?...worth $1,500-$2,000 "new"? Thanks...Tom R

BTW...this box is close enough to me to actually go pick up...Tom R

I see that Snap-on produces the Classic series in Classic 96, 78 and 60. I see no obvious reason for these numbers with regard to the dimensions or volume. Perhaps it originates with the original design dates such as 1960, 1978 or 1996. I could be way off base.

I believe the Classic and Heritage Series are proudly "Made in Canada" which to me is a good thing.

Damned ugly box in my opinion!

It certainly is an acquired taste, but I could live with it at the right price. The price of $2000 seems alright for a new box. I think the $3000CAD is way to much for this box. This box is only $3295 CAD brand new. Thats $500 cheaper than in the USA.

BTW I have seen this particular box with a camouflage scheme.

Camo would be nice.

Buy one for the duck blind...keep the shotguns in that wide top drawer and dry socks and skivvies elsewhere!

Man, I don't worry too much about my ability to live with an "unusual" color, but I may want to sell that box at some point and I get the sick feeling that some of these boxes would be tough to sell 10 years from now. Can't go wrong with basic red. Are those specialty boxes painted, or is that a vinyl decal over a tan box? A decal could be peeled off.

Thats exactly what I was wondering; is it a sticker? I have a hard time believing they would do all that custom hand painting (airbrushing) for all those toolboxes they make! The other ones I've seen with the American flags, seems pretty obviously a sticker and this looks like something done in Photoshop and then printed on vinyl material.

Look at the partially-open drawer on the tribal box...looks like a black box underneath. The jabms are black.

Look at the lower right corner of the box, too. It almost looks like the black is showing. I always assumed it was painted. For $4500 I would've thought they could do better than a freaking sticker.

I thnk they used to sell a box just like that one at Pier 1 except it did not have the big Snap-on logo.;)
