I know where a mint one lives. I'm waiting for the guy to cut the sentimental attachment and make a fair deal with me. You have a fantastic pile there. :)

Please don't tell Mrs. Horsey but this followed me home today. If you look closely in the background you'll see where it will live from now on.

The story behind this one isn't too interesting. The son of the original owner sold it to me because none of his kids are interested. He also tried to sell me a 31 Model A Ford and a 63 Thunderbird convertible. Nay on those two things as I have enough cars to keep me busy for the rest of my life.

The guy had a nice garage detached from his house along with a loft area above his main garage level. By the way he had the place decorated it was where he spent a good deal of his time. He even had a small fridge along with a table and chairs from some sort of diner. Overall, a nice easy buy with no hassles or digging. :)

Nice mid. I had one dated 1954 like that, but not near so nice. What did he want for the ‘31?

The 31 is clean, no rust and has all OEM parts. It runs fine and presents well. It's an older restoration from the 1990s but whoever did it knew what they were doing. The interior was nice and clean with most of the original pieces. Any replacements were OEM. The motor looked great, no leaks, hoses were correct, belt was correct, everything you want to see was there. Underneath, the frame and everything else was done correctly. No hidden gremlins. He wants $13,500 for it.

The Thunderbird is a 390 automatic that is originally from California. No rot at all and it has never been restored. It's in excellent condition aside from the fact that this guy decided to remove the entire top end of the motor to clean and inspect the cylinders while he replaces both exhaust manifolds. The exhaust manifolds were both cracked. The motor shows virtually no wear on the parts that I saw and this matches up with the 30 something thousand on the clock and the overall light wear on the entire car. If I liked generation 2 birds, this would be the kind of car to drag home. Unfortunately, they have zero appeal to me.
