when did this come out? Always thought they should have a comfort handle locking 1/4 flex. I'll have to ask my truck guy if he has one tomorrow if only to have a look at it.

A look at eBay closed auctions should give you an idea of the selling price.
It is supply and demand , there are not a lot of these for sale on eBay.
Maybe you should consider an older model if it will fit in your price range ?
You could probably get a TX936 for $40-45 used on eBay if your patient and snipe.
