Looking at different charts I cannot talk myself into a symbol that matches what's on the handles.... any opinions?

Are your diagonal cutters 4-1/2” long? Snap-on made a #184 diagonal cutter. Your year marking is difficult to make out but it could possibly be a 6. I would like to see the outside of the handles and a measurement of the overall length. By the way, those are Vacuum Grip not Vacation Grip. 😳

I think that you have a pair of 184 diagonals from 1948. The 1 in the part number is hard to see but I don’t see what else they could be. Your additional pictures helped a lot. Check item B in the ‘48 catalog image below.
