I wanted to pick up a snap on vantage (MT2400) to use as a graphing meter for automotive, appliances, and electronics. All I want is a graphing meter I don't really care about all the component tests and information on various model years etc.
I've noticed that some of them are sold without memory cards. Would the meter still work without a memory card? In other words, is the memory card like it's hard drive so without one the vantage wouldn't even function or does the memory card just have various information like connector pin outs and component test guides etc?
