Snap on verus not charging ?

Hey guys I have been looking for a scan tool for home like I posted in my modus questions thread the tool guy came today and he had a verus with 18.4 software full lab scope on the truck for $500 OTD but I don’t think it’s charging the battery pack it works when plugged into AC power and has a 12v dc plug in but as soon as you unplug it the tool dies. I don’t see the charging icon in the corner lit before I buy a tool I’d like to know if it’s a battery prob or an internal fault not letting it charge does anyone have thoughts or know a pin out for the tool to check for voltage ?

I have the same issue with a Verus. The battery will take a charge from an external power supply, but the Verus unit will not charge it. There is no voltage measurable at the charging pins in the Verus. The Verus detects and will run from a charged battery though, so somehow the onboard charging circuit has failed. I pulled it apart and saw nothing obvious.
