if you cant make it better Join them. snap on has used wilton for a while now. I figured it was common knowledge. my truck from 1986 that is dead and gone had a wilton vise on it.

It's easy to tell, all of the Snap-on part numbers for the re-branded Wiltons start with "WV" for Wilton Vise

If they must put there name on a vice then Wilton is a good way to go.

I bought my dealers wv1755 when he turned his truck in for $ 150. It took a year to get it because he was planning on keeping it but caved. I plan on putting it in my snap on truck in the near future.

He is still a very good friend of mine.

This may be one instance where people would be willing to pay more for a tool branded by the OEM and not Snap-on.

The Wilton 1700 series are really nice. If you can afford a c-1,2,or 3 go for it though.

Curious mjozefow, can you elaborate on this? I have looked at both expensively and I have to admit, I find it hard to select between the C Series, the Tradesman and the Machinist models. (Like comparing the 1765 / C-1 / 450S)
