What does everyone think about the value of this box. It is beat up and I know having acess to 3 sides makes them less desirable to people. I can probably get it for $250-$300.
That box is often referred to as a taco wagon, I believe the Snap On model number was KR562. If you do a search on either term you may find more pricing information, but $250 sounds like a pretty good price to me.
I had one for a while. Paid $400' pressure washed it and relubed all the slides. It also helps to remove the slides and flip them upside down and side to side so they wear on a new part of the metal.
Had it for a while and was going to put my lathe on it but went a different direction. Sold it for $650
As long as it's not broken or dented to hell I would get it at $250
No real advantage to the design. These were the biggest baddest box in the late 70's when they came out. They were made for airplane tech and built to withstanding rolling around hangers all day. Look at how thick the lower frame is on the one pictured above. People like them based on the respecting the fact they areone ofthe best built box ever.
