What do you guy's think?
My No.2 tip has lost some of its shape, not a wear issue as such but its like the screwhead was a little too hard for it!
Is that a warranty replacement? and btw I don't have a truck ti make a call so it's going to have to be mailed. Can't seem to get a clear photo due to the size.

If you have a decent quality screw, A SO phillips should hold the screw in a horizontal position when the screw is placed on the screwdriver tip. If it won't, the screwdriver is worn, not necessarily unuseable , but still badly worn.

I just got a shaft for my #2 this week and installed It today. Called Snap On Monday, had it by Wednesday! It was my first time replacing one, and it was a lot easier then I expected it to be.

My Snap On guy replaces them without question, as he should. If your's does not, buy from someone else.

Call them. Usually you won't have to send them in. They should either send a new one or a new shaft.

I broke one and had the local driver replace it this week. They do it routinely. Haven't done any phone/mail in, so don't know about that.

I'm not sure whether Snap-On uses an actual Phillips screwdriver geometry, or whether they use one of the designs that is better at turning multiple types of crosshead screws. If you try to use actual Phillips geometry bits on some other types of crosshead screws, like Pozidriv or JIS, the driver tip is likely to get wear on from the corners on the crosshead screw.

As far as the Snap-On driver goes I'd try to warranty it.
