Hey everyone, sorry but I have another snapon warranty question

I see people here talking about specific warranties where you can send your tool in right before the one year mark... I don't understand this

Basically, what do I need to know about warranties for my air die grinder, 1/2 and 3/8 air impacts, and both the battery and impact warranties for my 3/8 lithium 18v, hammer drill 18v lithium, and my 3/8 lithium 7.2 volt ...?

How can I get the most out of my money?

Also warranty info for my tap and die, and HSS drill bits, how can I get the most out of my money when these break?

1 year on the battery stuff
all air tools have a 1 year warranty except the ones that start with MG those are 2 years

tap and dies are lifetime

So if a tap breaks off in the hole and I need to drill or cut it out, I send it in pieces???? With proof of purchase or what? Do I need to register my tools or anything? Just the single piece?? I bought everything brand new online.

What dictates the tool being broken? What if I send it in for a rebuild or something right before the warranty is up even if it isn't completely broken?

What dictates a batteries warranty what if it still works but doesn't hold charge as long as when I originally bought it?

Let's say after 9 months my lithium batteries don't hold charge as long as when I originally bought them, is that a viable reason for snapon to replace or rebuild them? How do I go about making that happen? Do I just send it in or contact them first or what?

they have a machine to test the tools and the batteries, if a problem is found they take care of it, usully a "sometimes it loses power" on the tag will get a full rebuild

How do you get the most out of your money? You take care of your stuff.

If a snap on tool breaks you call them and they will take care of you. If you send all your tools in just before a year is up if they aren't broke and saying they aren't acting like brand new then in my opinion you are taking advantage of the system. I'm not going to play internet warranty police but there is a reason companies have had to tighten down the reigns on warranty policies because of people abusing them.

Tighten the warrenty policy and raise prices. The op is a jack a$$. Go buy something you can afford.

On another note i have a snap on die grinder that is new it's like 6 months old. I barely use it and it's always oiled. I had to send the thing in once already for a new motor and i used it today and i heared the motor bogging down again already. Am i putting too much pressure on it or is it just junk from snap on?

I heard it bog so i put it out in the open and it was still bogging after a few burst it sounded fine again. It happened twice while using it today so i know it's going bad.

Are you sure its not your air supply. The reason I mention it because my snap on 1/2 impact gun was doing the same thing and come to find out it was my air supply

None of my other air tools have this issue but I'll check it or on a different compressor to rule it out.

Honestly? Ask your Snap On dealer... What you read on the internet doesn't mean jack when you break something.
