I just recently picked up a snap-on 260A wheel balancer, when I try to use it it puts out a code EEE.
I don't have a manual, but every thing seems to work, dials all change, buttons all work, display is good.
when I turn it on it lites up, then I can dial n what ever size wheel available, all this works. then the rotation indicator lights up, I can rock the wheel back and forth and watch the arrows change. but when I spin it, it immediately goes all EEE.

I am pretty sure this a cranium rectal inversion error. since I am not sure at all what I am doing, having a hard time finding a user manual for 260A

Just out of curiosity, what diameter is the wheel you are testing it out on getting the "EEE code"? there is an old thread on here that may be related but not sure as online info is scarce.

Might not be the correct one, but,
Perhaps buried in this site is the correct manual.

Perhaps this is a hint.

On a Snap-on wheel balancer, an "EEE" error typically indicates the wheel was spun in the wrong direction (counterclockwise) or slowed/stopped during the measuring cycle, or that the wheel is very light. To fix it, ensure the wheel is spun in the correct direction (clockwise) and up to balancing speed.

Here's a more detailed explanation:
  • Incorrect Rotation:
The "EEE" error appears if the wheel is spun in the wrong direction (counterclockwise) when using the hub nut, or if the wheel is intentionally or accidentally stopped during the measuring cycle.

  • Light Wheel:
In some cases, when balancing a very light wheel (like a 13" automobile wheel), the "EEE" error might appear. Re-spinning at a higher speed can prevent this.

  • Troubleshooting:
    • Check Rotation: Ensure the wheel is spun in the correct direction (clockwise) and up to the required balancing speed.

    • Check Wheel Mounting: Make sure the wheel is properly mounted on the machine and that there's no movement between the wheel and the shaft.

    • Check Shaft: Ensure the shaft is tight using an 8mm allen wrench.

    • Calibration: If the error persists, you may need to recalibrate the wheel balancer.

    • Consult Manual: Refer to the wheel balancer's operation guide for specific troubleshooting steps.
