Snap On Website Question

I called Snap On today to learn about a wrench that is on the website, and was told that it is an industrial item, and cannot be ordered. I placed the order anyway on the website, and was wondering if anyone else has had this problem, where the item is listed on the website, and it no sold to the general public? It is a flare nut wrench RXFS2836BSP . It is exactly what I need, and the price is super.. $18.38 plus tax... Do you think that they will ship this, or just cancel the order? thanks

I've never had a Snap-On online order cancelled. Back-ordered until I forgot about it and was later surprised it came, yes. Cancelled, no.

I'd put more trust in the website than the c/s staff. If you can add it to cart and checkout, I'd bet you'll get the item. Good luck.

It's listed so I don't see why they wouldn't sell to you. Only thing is when I searched the part number there was no picture on the site.

All I can say is that is a strangely low price for a larger wrench. Maybe that was some kind of bulk industrial pricing, or they were closeout priced at some point.

Since Snap-on did the alleged upgrade of the Web site a number of items appear which may be discontinued or unavailable for purchase. In some cases I have received items which I was able to put into the cart. In other cases the orders have been cancelled without any notice to me.

Initally it seemed that the SO Web developers were trying to clean it up but I have not seen much progress lately.

I placed the order, and everything went through on the website, however, I didn't get an email confirmation. I am wondering if they send email confirmations on orders. If I get it, I will be a happy camper...

If I remember there is usually an e mail a few minutes after placing an order.
