snap on wheel balancer not working

Hi guys,brand new here. I have a older snap on manual spin wheel balancer (wb200) same one as in pic. It powers up and seems like it works but doesn't work correctly. It only comes up showing 9.75 after i spin it. I called snap on and first they said theres no fixing it,trade it in for a new one,then he said something about an eye... Anyone know a common problem that goes wrong with these?

Did anyone answer this question? I just got a WB200 and it does the same.
Junk it or is it fixable?

I just purchased the same model and it does the same thing, it comes up with a reading of 9.75. Snap-on wasn't much help. I brought it to an electronics shop and he couldn't troubleshoot it. Looks like I bought a $300 paper weight.

Maybe it's the same balancer making its rounds. LOL
