Can a Snap on guy fix it? or is it just a decoration?

Get a kit for it and throw that makeshift selector away.

Get a kit for it.Probally came with an aluminum lever or a brass lever from the factory.Snap On did use brass levers and you can't get them anymore,obsolete.

rebuild kit is around 10 bucks and the selector should be around a buck last time i bought one.
around a 100 dollar ratchet at todays prices. not a bad deal at all.
