I knew that was coming, I bought a 10pc metric flank drive plus set off the truck, they had USA on them, ordered a set of SAE, when they arrived they did not.

they are not any different than the old ones with USE on them, it's just that BS about "global marketing"

Yeah. Is Snap-On Ashamed of being a US company or are they ashamed of letting us know where they are headed? Either way it's a no win situation.

someone mentioned about snap on testing the waters and all that, but i think theres a bit more to it, for years snap on have shouted from the rooftops about being made in the usa, and "proudly made in the usa", it used to be on a lot of the packaging, (at least the stuff i bought it was) today the packaging just seems to be a bland red card with snap on printed on it, i think their atempting to climb down off this ladder before the big move to china, of course they'll just say we want to be seen as globle brand, but it amounts to the same thing for me.

Sorry I can not get a bigger pic until I get them. So does anyone know the series or item number for the matching metric set?

im going to make sure the long 0* high performance wrenches im buying this week on sale say USA on them or its going to be a NO SALE.

Snap on has really been ticking me off lately, I wont buy anything not usa from them, they rebrand tools with their name that you can buy cheaper, and now this ****? What are they ashamed of having USA on there wrenches, It was always about pride for me. They can take this global marketing BS and shove it up their !@#$!! I try and buy as little off the truck as I can.. been buying craftsman lately and even *gasp* HF, and napa, autozone, and advance. If you can't get it made in usa from snap on dont pay the premium for it. Some stuff doesn't make sense to buy from them, the guy next to me bought the oil filter socket for the ECOTEC motors from snap on for 30 bucks. I went to autozone and paid 8. I wish craftsman made one so I could buy usa. But I ask you how all it has to do is take off a piece of plastic!! You dont need snap on quality to do that, and it 10 years your probably never going to use it again anyway. You can't even turn to craftsman anymore, I went in yesterday to look for some 3/8" impact sockets, the craftsman pro combo wrenches were USA but the polished flare nut wrenches and flare nut crowsfeet were CHINA with craftsman name stamped on them but no COO stamped on them... hmmm no snap on COO stamped on there wrenches... I WONDER WHERE THIS IS GOING??? hmm...

What kind of an idiot are you? Because it's Crapsman it must be US made? Are you joking? Half of the Crapsman stuff is imported anyway..... Of course Snap-On is sending their stuff overseas. It's the only fiscally responsible thing they can do. It's just the way the world works. Especially with morons like you who think that, "If it's Craftsman, it must be US made". Snap-On is relying on the same stupid, ignorant mindset to ride them through.....

:headscrat:headscrat

IF you want bash someone, You should really read there entire post and not jump to conclusions. I have a question? Why try and get banned? If you dont like the place then leave.. You know what im getting at... I just dont get it.

Everything, including the wrenches not marked USA, that I have bought has said "Made in USA" on the packaging.

That is good enough for me, having USA one the tool itself does not make it work better, and I would prefer it was "Made in Canada" anyway...

The only Snap-on wrenches that I can find on my truck that do not have USA stamped on them are the ratcheting wrenches. The SOEX and SOEXM all have USA stamped on them.

Pasta,

How about posting a link or putting up a picture that we can see. I have bought and have access to a bunch of new SO wrenchs, sockets and the like and the only ones that are not marked are the ratcheting wrenches that Chad noted and the new ratchets.

I just bought a new 1 1/4 combo wrench 3 weeks ago to fill out my set and it had "USA" stamped on it. I'm not saying your wrong but with 8 posts, I'm kinda like on old president of ours, "trust but verify....."

If you are only looking at the side with the "Snap-on" logo, the USA stamp is on the reverse.

dual 80s now wrenches this is really ******* me off F U snap on

I just purchased a Snap On FX 80 (dual 80). I checked their website first and it says Country of Origin: USA.

http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item.asp?item_ID=81186&group_id=20864

I sincerely hope this one is made in the USA otherwise I would have passed on it.

They are made in usa, its just they dont stamp it, they claim global marketing BS, but I think something fishy is in the works. Either its not 100% US made or they are planning to slowly shift production overseas without us noticing by taking the COO off the wrenches (craftsman polished flare wrenches im looking at you).

Where is the USA stamp for the 100 tooth ratchet?

Stock # FHNF100
Name Ratchet, Round Head, Swivel Head, Soft Grip, 12 3/4"
Price** $118.00
Brand Snap-on
Country Of Origin USA

Seems like if they can make a 100 tooth mechanism here, then the 72 tooth ratcheting wrenches and 80 tooth ratchets could also be made here.
