Snap on wrench part number help

Hello all, first post here, but I've been gazing for quite some time now. I'm not a mechanic, I'm a firemen actually working with firefighting aircraft. However I like to turn wrenches and have a thing for snap on and Mac tools

I'm long for a set of snap on rather wrenches, not the box end ratchet system, I'm looking for the open end ratchet wrenches. The ones that look like one of the tips had been partially broken off.

Maybe someone here has a picture of a full set of these and maybe a part number to help me find these? Can't even find them on the snap on website

Thanks

Ratcheting open end/box end combos are SRX** for SAE and SRXM** for metric. The sets are SRX707 and SRXM707.

Ratcheting open end/Flank drive plus open end wrenches are SRS** and SRSM**. Sets SRS706 and SRSM706.

** is the wrench size in 32nds for SAE and millimeters for metric. i.e. SRS16 is 1/2" and SRSM10 is 10mm.

Yeah, see it took a little longer to track down the facts than it did to make wild-*** guesses...

And assumptions are even easier than facts or guesses. I don't know enough about snap on to make a guess of any kind, let alone a wild assed one Pardon my terminology error. I am certainly no expert.

I actually have the flank drive plus wrenches, that's not what I'm looking for. So what are the actual name for these wrenches? I'm looking for a standard set, open end on both sides or combo, doesn't really matter.

But thanks for the info so far

I guess you've given me the name right here. Thanks!

Anyone else use these? How do you like em? Ever since I used my buddies I've been looking for a set

Very cool, I have a few older (Sabina, OH) Mac wrenches of a similar design, always thought they were shop modified for some purpose but now it looks like they may have possibly been factory.

Neat! :)

Don't know about Mac or Matco but there are others. The Alden has an interesting looking design, it appears to have a moving part. Also, Armstrong, Craftsman and Facom I found in a quick search.

I don't have any Facom tools but there are some discussions on this forum and plenty comes up when you Google. It's a big company that (like many of the others) has undergone lots of changes.

Snap on has been making variations on that wrench since around the 20's or 30's. There are DBE style, box end/speed end and fitting end/speed end.

I have this set of DBE I bought new. They are quite handy and I would very much like to find a metric set.

101_0296.jpg

Part numbers RS1214 (3/8 x 7/16), RS1416 (7/16 x 1/2), RS1618 (12 x 9/16) and RS1820 (9/16 x 5/8)

As far as I know SO no longer makes them.

MAC made Speed Open End/Flare Nut Wrenches in the '90's. COBR** for SAE and COBR**MM for metric. ** same as for Snap on.

Just checked my Sabina era catalogs and didn't see any. What part #s are on your wrenches?
