Nice work. Looks great. Reminds me I need to go back and cut the valves in my ya642. Still has a light leak back to the piston.

pretty good, just bought a house and am starting to rebuild my tool collection that I had to sell off on the east coast

Best of luck to you! Never though I'd get all these finished. The rod cup seal was gone in all of them, even the last two. The SO had a big gouge or corrosion (most likely) on the bottom pump valve seat. The 93642 dark blue one only needed soft parts and lots of cleaning.

Awesome. My wife thinks I'm crazy for having 5 old jacks. Hein Werners and Blackhawks. I have to buy them if I see them available. I showed her this, she says we're all crazy.

I guess we are all crazy. I have another Walker 883 I've had for 40 years and another Montgomery Ward (Hein Werner) that needs a knob on the handle. I don't think I need any more.

PM Sent in regards to a Seal Kit, AS far as "Why" It stopped working, More than likely the Ucup is Kaput and the Oil bubbling out of the Vent was actually Air Pockets that have mixed with Reservoir to create a Overflow condition. The only Real way to Know is to tear into the Jack, Georgia Hybrid has a good tutorial on the 632 that will translate into your jack outside of yours should have the Hex Tank Nut (Hopefully :willy_nil ) The Actual Link for the Seal Kit will include both sized Ucups for the Early 642 and the later 642/700 Might pay to inspect the Jack prior to buying the kit.

Well First time posting. Bought a new Hein Warner 2 ton Hw93642. Replacing a 2 ton Snap-on YA-642. 30 YEARS OLD and it worked fine. I tried to rebuild pump like a fine tooth comb.
But she will not lift anymore. I will work on it again this winter. Thanks for the help Hiball.
Just wanted to say that the new jack, it is assembled in the U.S.A with American and Foreign parts.
Hopefully i get my other one working and can hand it down to my son.
"Damn" that old Jack was sweet. Saved me a lot of money.
I wish i could get it going. I must have missed something. I rebuilt it in a nice shop and the only thing i found wrong was my main seal was rotting. Replaced it and everything else that came with kit. Just will not lift. Maybe i missed something, i even hot cleaned the pump and cleaned and blew air through every orifice.

If the Jack fails to Lift and is a complete dead stick I would double check in this order> Make sure the Release Cone is correctly Installed, Lower Ball in the Working Valve and Lastly the Overload components and seating position (still might give you some feedback), Everything else should give you some sort of Lift feedback off the Handle. All of this assuming you have enough oil and have bled the system.

Thanks Hiball. I was just going to tear into this soon and check the release cone. When i took it out, it looked fine and i just replaced the o-ring on it and cleaned it well. Is there a ball that seats below the release cone. I never saw one ????.
I installed the working valve and over load to 2 turns, like it was. i will get some welch plugs and check them out again.
Otherwise i bleed it out like they said, Is there another way to do it????. Also its full of good jack oil.
Thanks for your reply Hiball.
I know i just did something wrong. The seal was rotted and i installed the new seal, just like the old one.
Thanks again for any help. I am so glad i found this site. I hope to take some pics,so i am on the right page as you. I have been a Mechanic for 2 long. Thanks again

Definitely No ball in the release valve, Simply a cone piece that is flat on 1 side and needled on the other. The pointy side goes in first and the flat side mates to the release stem. As far as bleeding... Handle in the release, pump the jack 6-8 times to flush the circuit and then simply try the jack.
